Can You Convert Spotify to MP3? Legal Options Explained
Spotify does not provide MP3 exports of its music catalog. Its downloads are for offline playback inside Spotify, not transferable audio files.

What Spotify's Download button actually does

If you already have lawfully obtained audio files, Spotify can index them without converting anything from its catalog.
