How it works

How to print multiple PDF pages on one sheet

This PDF N-up printing tool helps you arrange PDF pages before opening the browser print dialog. It is useful for handouts, study notes, drafts, invoices, tickets, and any document where printing two or four pages per sheet saves paper.

1

Upload your PDFs

Select one PDF or add several PDF files. The tool reads each page in order and prepares them for a combined print layout.

2

Choose a pages-per-sheet layout

Use 1 x 2, 2 x 1, 2 x 2, 1 x 3, 3 x 1, or a custom grid to create a PDF N-up layout for your paper size.

3

Check the print preview

Review the generated sheets, adjust margins or gaps, and choose whether each PDF page should fit completely or fill the available slot.

4

Print from your browser

Open the print dialog and print the generated sheets. For best results, disable browser headers and footers and use the selected paper size.

FAQ

PDF multiple pages per sheet FAQ

Answers for common PDF N-up printing, privacy, and layout questions.

What does PDF N-up printing mean?

PDF N-up printing means placing multiple PDF pages on one physical sheet of paper. For example, a 2-up layout prints two PDF pages on one sheet, while a 4-up layout prints four PDF pages on one sheet.

Can I print 2 or 4 PDF pages per sheet?

Yes. Choose 1 x 2 or 2 x 1 for two pages per sheet, and choose 2 x 2 for four pages per sheet. You can also use a custom grid for more pages per sheet.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

No. The tool renders PDF pages locally in your browser with PDF.js. Your files stay on your device and are not uploaded to Free2Convert.

Is this the same as booklet printing?

This tool is mainly for N-up printing and page layout. It can help with compact handouts, but it does not yet reorder pages into a folded booklet sequence.
